Access online services
It is easier and quicker to order your repeat prescriptions via our online service. Simply log in and select an option.
Due to the current COVID-19 crises we are issuing patients with login details over the phone, do not attend the Surgery.
If it is impossible for you or a trusted relative or friend to access the internet to order your medication, please get in touch with reception who will make arrangements for you.
The dispensary is open from 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays only. If you live more than one mile from a pharmacy you will be eligible to have your prescriptions dispensed directly to you. Temporary residents are also eligible to receive their prescriptions from our dispensary.

If you have a question or query about the medication you are taking please complete an online consultation and one of our dispensary team will get back to you.
Patients on repeat medication will need a review once a year. Most of the time we can do this without seeing you face to face. When you are due for your review (you will usually get notified on your prescription label or when you order online) please let us know online and we will let you know if we require any more information or book you an appointment if required.
Non-repeat items (acute requests)
Non-repeat prescriptions, known as ‘acute’ prescriptions are medicines that have been issued by the Doctor but not added to your repeat prescription records. This is normally a new medication issued for a trial period, and may require a review visit with your Doctor prior to the medication being added onto your repeat prescription records.
Some medications are recorded as acute as they require to be closely monitored by the Doctor. Examples include many anti-depressants, drugs of potential abuse or where the prescribing is subject to legal or clinical restrictions or special criteria. If this is the case with your medicine, you may not always be issued with a repeat prescription until you have consulted with your Doctor again.
When you are discharged from Hospital you should normally receive a week’s supply of medication.
On receipt of your medication requirements, which will be issued to you by the Hospital, please contact the Surgery to provide them with this information before your supply of medication has run out.
Hospital requests for change of medication will be checked by the GP first, and if necessary your Doctor will provide you with a prescription.
